Value proposition

The need: A service provider in the rehabilitation sector wanted to target NHS reimbursement for a particular clinical indication.

The solution: The Medilink team are experienced reviewers of technology with respect to NHS priorities, as articulated by the Outcomes Framework and other related databases of quality indicators. Medilink uses this experience to create bespoke value propositions for medical technologies and services demonstrating how they help commissioners meet their targets whilst simultaneously helping to improve patient outcomes.

Medilink first proposed a gap analysis with the company to determine the type and quantity of evidence the client possessed. The outcome of this was a recommendation to retrospectively gather data on patient quality of life to show additional benefit over physical recovery. Next, all relevant NHS indicators were analysed for relevance and reviewed in conjunction with the client to build a full value proposition for the company, along with methodologies for presenting data and the benefits communicated in the language of commissioners.

The outcome: Medilink produced a value proposition report designed to be handed to NHS commissioners, making the most of the evidence the client had gathered and making it simple to see how the proposed service could help commissioners meet their targets and improve patient outcomes.
