Single Use Surgical (SUSL) take difficult to clean surgical equipment and offer high quality, single use alternatives. Their ethos is simple – instruments that are sterile, efficient and manufactured to the highest standards, all carefully designed to put patients first and reduce the risk of cross contamination.

With a strong export focus on the Middle East, SUSL are already working with a number of hospitals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and are attending the congress to appoint additional partners from across the Middle East, in particular Kuwait.

At the congress, SUSL will showcase their extensive portfolio of instrumentation, which spans across a number of surgical specialities including ENT, Head and Neck, Gynaecology, Laparoscopy, General and Vascular surgery.

Many of their innovations provide improved ergonomics and functionality, as well as consistent quality and a safe alternative to reusable instruments.  Each product is developed to ensure cost savings for hospitals, which means surgeons do not have to compromise on quality.

Unlike many other disposable instruments, SUSL manufacture their products with stainless steel tubes rather than aluminium, a factor which has helped them to become a global leader within the single use instrumentation market.

Speaking ahead of the congress, Michael Denver, Export Manager, said: “The Middle East has an unquestionable approach to surgical technique and by working with SUS, we can help offer high quality, single use solutions that can ultimately reduce the risk of cross contamination and infections such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS).”

“We already have an established reputation in Saudi and are looking forward to expanding on this with new partners over the coming months.  As a UK manufacturer it is crucial that we find the right company to represent us in the Middle East and Arab Health is a great platform to do this and build further success in this region.”

SUSL’s Saudi partner Al Hammad Medical Waleed Mohammad ElSaedy, added: “SUSL have a nice range of products appealing to all disciplines. We particularly like the Suction Irrigator which helps support our surgeons in more difficult situation where a premium products is required. The strength is in their range of products and in the company itself. The people are fast and effective and very nice to work together in a true partnership.”

Arab Health 2016 is the largest healthcare exhibition and medical congress in the Middle East. It is taking place from 25 – 28th January 2016 and throughout the show SUSL will be located on stand Z1 E76.

More Information about SUS

Single Use Surgical (SUSL) was established in 2001 in direct response to concerns over cleaning practices when a group of UK hospitals wanted to protect their patients from potential infection. They identified that fine lumen suction tubes used in surgery were difficult to clean and posed a high risk of patient to patient cross infection. So in collaboration with clinicians, SUSL developed a range of single use suction tubes with the same look, feel and functionality as reusable instruments. The suction tubes have been well received globally and the company’s customer base has grown rapidly in many markets around the world.
