The change of name was recommended by the Medilink Executive and endorsed by the Medilink board. A General Meeting of members, which was held on 3 October, unanimously voted in favour of the change.
Taking place in Medilink’s 20th anniversary year, this new development will enhance sector connectivity and collaboration across the North of England.
Medilink’s ‘industry led’ Regional Advisory Groups will continue to provide representation at a regional level, and the strong relationship with the national umbrella organisation Medilink UK will continue, providing a regional voice in national developments.
Kevin Kiely, Chief Executive Officer at Medilink, said: “This year we celebrate our 20th anniversary, and our sustainability has in my opinion been primarily down to our ability to respond to change and to the needs of our members.
“It is fitting as we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we look to the future as Medilink North of England Limited, working in partnership with the ‘Northern Powerhouse’ to deliver excellent service and unleash the potential of the North’s significant world leading Life Science organisations.”
