An innovative company that developed a hygienic wall cladding system widely used throughout UK National Health Service (NHS) hospitals and clinics is to showcase its products to potential new markets at the world’s second largest healthcare congress and exhibition
BioClad, based in North Yorkshire, developed the world’s first antimicrobial PVC wall panels which they will be exhibiting on stand Z1D70 at the forthcoming Arab Health show, held from 25th to 28th January 2016 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
BioClad’s unique PVC wall cladding is impregnated with silver ions at the time of manufacture, which means that antimicrobial protection is active throughout every sheet. This provides 24/7 lifetime protection against not just bacteria, but also protozoans, fungi and other micro-organisms. Because the antimicrobial protection cannot be washed away, while the panels also emit zero VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and are therefore entirely safe and ideal for many sensitive projects from operating theatres to ensuite locations.
Andy Newbould, Bioclad Sales Director, said: “Bioclad is proud to present to the international market a product that helps healthcare customers to combat the spread of infection. We work closely with our customer’s right through from specification to installation and with our Bioclad system we have gone the extra mile in providing a product that looks fantastic while at the same time helps to tackle the day to day build-up of a whole range of micro-organisms.
“At Arab Health we are looking forward to engaging with potential new customers from right around the world, particularly hospital and healthcare owners, plus decision makers in construction and the finishing details of projects.”
In addition, BioClad will also be launching at the exhibition its new BioPod modular sink system (IPS) which offers unrivalled protection against bacterial growth, in-line with infection control’s hygiene requirements, in one complete unit. BioPod is an all-inclusive antimicrobial fabricated modular unit complete with access panels, basin kit, and encapsulated with BioClad Anti-microbial PVC. BioPod is delivered prefabricated and is therefore simple and easy to install and is sanitary-ware compatible with the UK NHS HTM regulations, allowing time savings on site by eliminating the need to mark out sanitary-ware or build a frame.
Arab Health takes place from 25th to 28th January 2016 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre and is attended by more than 4,000 companies from 163 countries exhibiting their latest innovations to more than 130,000 healthcare professionals.
