Healthcare technology companies in Yorkshire are being encouraged to attend a workshop to find out about investment opportunities in the region.
Investing in Health, part of Yorkshire Forward’s Understanding Finance for Business programme, has already supported over 100 companies in the region seeking finance for growth and development.
A FREE workshop will be held at Grant Thornton’s offices, No 1 Whitehall Riverside, Leeds on Wednesday 15 September . As spaces are limited, interested companies should register their details at
www.investinginhealth.co.uk and will then be contacted to receive their place.
Pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, red biotechnology and medical device companies across Yorkshire can benefit from the workshop, which will provide an insight into what investors are looking for, current investment trends and an understanding of how the programme can help them become investor ready. Jamie Hutchinson from The Sampler will be speaking on ‘Corporate Finance and the Transaction process’. Delegates will also have the opportunity to hear from companies that have already secured funding through the programme.
Lisa Ward, manager of the Investing in Health programme at Grant Thornton said: “The workshop will provide both start-up and established companies with the opportunity to learn more about the programme and what it has to offer and hear from companies already enrolled on the programme about their fund raising experience. It is also a great networking opportunity for people to meet like-minded entrepreneurs and learn more about the equity landscape in the current economic climate.”
The Investing in Health programme, managed by Grant Thornton, forms part of Yorkshire Forward’s ongoing strategy to support the development of the healthcare technologies industry in Yorkshire and Humber.
The programme supports healthcare companies in the region and provides them with the knowledge, advice, tools and resources needed to access equity funding from national and international investors.
