British assistive technology companies are being offered the opportunity to be part of the UK Pavilion at this year’s REHACARE exhibition – the world’s largest assistive technologies fair.
Taking place in Düsseldorf, Germany from 6-9th October 2010, REHACARE is the leading exhibition for rehabilitation, prevention, integration and care and offers UK companies a global platform to showcase their cutting-edge products and innovative technologies.
Every year the UK Pavilion is organised by Medilink Yorkshire and Humber (Y&H), the organisation dedicated to the growth of the Healthcare Technologies Sector and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).
Charlotte Fraser, International Manager at Medilink Yorkshire & Humber (Y&H) and regional sector specialist for UKTI, said: “REHACARE attracts over 50,000 visitors a year and is the main generator of new ideas for the assistive technologies industry so it’s not surprising that so many UK companies want to exhibit at the show. We are now taking bookings for the show but there is a high demand and space is selling out fast.”
REHACARE is an ideal stepping stone for companies who are looking to expand globally, with large numbers of distributors, purchasing authorities and end-users from all over the world congregating at the show to find new partners and source new products. Over 70% of visitors are from the trade and figures show that nearly half of these have direct purchasing authority.
Last year there were 706 exhibitors at the exhibition from 29 countries and the UK had the largest international presence at the show for the second year running.
The REHACARE exhibition package being offered by Medilink (Y&H) and UKTI includes the exhibition space, project management, recommended accommodation in Germany, pre-exhibition administration and support, group freight shipping arrangements, internet facilities, group translators and hot and cold refreshments throughout the show.
All companies will also receive personal healthcare advice from a team of specialists both in the UK and overseas, as well as grant funding of up to £1,000 for all eligible companies. Funding is limited however; and is awarded strictly on a first come first served basis. All companies also receive personal healthcare advice from a team of specialists both in the UK and overseas.
