Sign of the times – fighting infection, reducing cleaning times

A revolutionary range of signs capable of killing 99.99% of ‘superbug’ bacteria including MRSA have been unveiled by Yorkshire based Centurion Europe.
The pioneering range of ‘Biosigns’ uses silver ionisation to provide a robust anti-microbial protection that stops bacteria building up on the surface.
They are also adhesive backed to enable ease of installation and can withstand frequent cleaning with no reduction in performance; making it an effective and rapid cleaning solution for hospitals and other healthcare establishments.
Silver ionisation is a proven technology for the reduction of bacteria and can stop the spread of nearly 150 types of bacteria. Harmless to humans, they are effective against single-celled micro-organisms and can inhibit the growth and spread of MRSA.
Designed with healthcare in mind, another unique feature of the signs is that they do not contain any joints, raised surfaces or gaps to eliminate the chance of bacteria breeding.
The special coatings are now available on a wide range of Centurion Europe’s signs; including fire safety, no smoking and warning signs. Braille signs for the visually impaired are also available.
The full range of signs are manufactured in-house at Centurion Europe’s accredited facility and can be designed as bespoke items to suit individual needs.
Paul Kantecki, Managing Director of Centurion Europe, said: “This is a major breakthrough in the way signs are produced for high risk environments and we are delighted to be at the forefront of this exciting technology.”
