Built on quality - Ward beds and plinths by Sidhil

Healthcare equipment specialists Sidhil Ltd will be exhibiting at Arab Health 2012 in Hall 7 Stand C01.

First established well over a century ago in 1888 the company has built up an enviable reputation for performance and quality based on total commitment to the developing requirements of the healthcare market. Today, Sidhil designs, manufactures and supplies a comprehensive selection of products, popular with both the NHS and private healthcare markets in the UK and now increasingly achieving acceptance across Europe and worldwide, with significant sales into the Middle Eastern countries.

Operating from purpose-built factory premises, Sidhil operates with the very latest high technology manufacturing and finishing processes, maintaining a constant watching brief on changes in legislation and nursing techniques to keep the product range at the forefront of technology.

The company has an established history of award-winning product introductions and upgrades. Examples on show at Arab Health include new Independence Innov8 Low ward bed and the advanced Doherty three section plinth.

Sidhil’s new Innov8 Low version complements the existing Innov8 2000 and Innov8 4000 ward beds already proving popular with NHS buyers and clinicians in the UK. Designed for applications ranging from utility ward beds through to high dependency environments, the Innov8 Low features a minimum platform height of just 218mm – one of the lowest available on the market today.

Electrically operated functions include auto contouring, giving simultaneous adjustment of backrest and kneebreak, with cardiac chair function and auto regression avoiding surface pinching or occupant sliding, as well as Trendelenberg and reverse Trendelenberg positioning. Solid platform panels incorporate ridges for breathability, to simplify decontamination and to improve infection control.

Capable of handling maximum user weights up to 180kgs, the Innov8 Low incorporates superb ergonomics in terms of both manual handling and user comfort, conforming to WEEE regulations and CE marked to Medical Devices Directives.

Sidhil’s Doherty range of plinths and couches are already widely accepted throughout the Middle East, selling into Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia during this year, including 150 units to equip treatment rooms for the Arab Games in Doha. The new electrically operated variable height Doherty model is a high specification, competitively priced unit available as both a two and three section treatment plinth. Designed for optimum flexibility, the plinth has a height range of 460 – 900mm, with manually adjustable, easy lift self-locking backrest and foot sections featuring head-down tilt and feet-up positions.

Controlled using a simple handset, the plinth is delivered fully assembled and features twin retractable castors for ease and safety of movement.  The frame is simple to level for use on uneven floors, and capable of handling a maximum user weight of 130kg. A breathing hole is included as standard on the headrest section.

Available in a choice of twelve attractive upholstery colours featuring seamless rounded corners for optimum hygiene, the plinth is built upon a white epoxy coated tubular steel construction and is fire retardant to BS5852.

“Sidhil products are proving very competitive with global suppliers in terms of both price and functionality, driven by factors including quality UK manufacture and design innovation,” stated Clive Siddall, Sales and Marketing Director for Sidhil. “Since 2008, when the company began a drive to expand export markets worldwide, this area of the business has grown steadily, and we continue to invest in our distributor network to provide professional support services for our customers in the Middle East.”

Arab Health takes place from 24 - 27 January 2012 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Sidhil Ltd can be found in Hall 7 Stand C01.
