Innovate UK's network partner, the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) are offering SMEs the unique chance to work on 'real' NHS data and develop digital solutions to help improve healthcare services.
Companies specialising in Artificial Intelligence and other relevant fields, are encouraged to share their ideas on how to strengthen and innovate the process of electronic workflow. Based on the case study of Mersey Care NHS Foundation and the Trusted Research Environment, SMEs will work with data provided by AIMES.
The focus of the project will be to increase patient preparation for consultations or appointments by using artificial intelligence processes and mental health data.
Artificial Intelligence has demonstrated benefits to how both patients and clinicians experience healthcare and its provision. Digital developments have improved the availability of data, but in some circumstances, clinicians struggle with retrieving the most important information from the electronic system for patients with limited healthcare records. Therefore, improving the use of electronic data is a necessary step in order to enhance the flow and quality of services within the NHS.
Interested companies are required to apply by completing an online questionnaire by the 23rd September 2019, which can be found here.
Successful candidates will demonstrate their solutions at the human centred workshop in Liverpool on the 7th November 2019.
