Companies from across Yorkshire and Humber are invited to a networking event to promote innovation in the region and drive the sector forward.
As the UK’s premier networking event for all Healthcare Technologies companies in the region, The Medical Innovation Forum offers the ideal opportunity to discuss innovations, fast-track technology transfer, find partners and seek funding and licensing agreements.
The event is taking place on December 2nd at the Harrogate International Centre, and has already generated interest from Healthcare Technologies companies across the region.
Giles Proffitt, Product Innovation & Operations Manager at Medilink Yorkshire and Humber, said: “The Medical Innovation Forum offers Healthcare Technologies companies in the region the perfect platform to explore opportunities across the medical devices industry, the NHS and academia, providing an ideal environment to identify new resources and develop new partnerships.”
The event brings together over 400 participants with everyone having their own pre-planned Personal Agenda of discussion groups and one-on-one meetings, focused around their own particular interests and objectives.
The programme includes a wide range of more than 15 topic areas, including:
Orthopaedics - providing a valuable opportunity for orthopaedic device manufacturers and their supply chain partners to get together and explore collaboration opportunities, better understand the R&D landscape and gain an insight on likely future clinical requirements.
Advanced Woundcare - focusing on the developments in the wound care sector, including devices, therapies, wound diagnostic technologies, regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. By bringing together interested parties to review opportunities for collaboration and research, the aim is to help increase the speed in which innovations can successfully be brought to market.
Assistive Technologies - The aim is to increase the speed in which innovations can successfully be brought to market through discussions on innovations, fast-track technology transfer, finding partners and reviewing opportunities for collaboration and research.
Diagnostics – allowing those present to gain insights on new technologies that will influence diagnostic product development and to better understand clinical needs.
With sponsorship from Yorkshire Forward and support from Medilink UK, ABHI and the Health Technologies KTN, the next Medical Innovation Forum will be the seventh year it has run and welcomes visitors of all levels from across the sector.
