HOSPITALAR 2009 Brazil – the largest and most prestigious healthcare technologies fair in Latin America – was a great success for Yorkshire companies with many establishing new business opportunities and building new international relationships across Latin America.
Supported by Medilink Yorkshire and Humber and UK Trade & Investment, record numbers of companies from across the region showcased their expertise and explored new export opportunities at the show between 2-5 June and the feedback received from companies has been extremely positive.
Among those who attended was Yorkshire based company Anetic Aid, a leading supplier of operating theatre equipment.
Mike Pritchett International Sales Manager of Anetic Aid said: “Going to Hospitalar with Medilink was a valuable source of intelligence for the region as a whole. Our stand in the UK pavilion helped to promote the Anetic Aid name and our products and also gave us an excellent opportunity to spend some time working with our new Latin American distributor.”
Speaking about the exhibition Charlotte Fraser, International Manager at Medilink Y&H and regional sector specialist for UKTI, said: “We have been attending the show, on behalf of UKTI and Yorkshire for over 5 years now and each year it has been a greater success. Our region is renowned for cutting edge innovations and high quality products and this is an exciting opportunity for the Latin American healthcare industry to partner with the UK and in particular the Yorkshire region.”
