An historic South Yorkshire company whose roots date back to 1601 is guaranteeing its future by offering a new customisable packing solution which efficiently and cost-effectively makes products surgery-ready.
Based in Sheffield, the heart of healthcare technologies in the UK, Granton Medical Ltd have been providing the medical industry with state-of-the-art medical device packing solutions for over half a century and they are going from strength to strength despite a difficult global economic climate.
Major success began in 1999 after a key investment in a self-seal sterilisation pouch plant, allowing Granton to become the sole UK manufacturer of these pouches of which they produce 100 million annually.
This success enabled further investments, permitting them to offer sub-contract medical device assembly, packing, passivation, disinfection and sterilisation services in a 40,000 sq purpose-built cleanroom facility which then lead to the creation of the Cleanpack™ solution encompassing these services.
The Cleanpack™ concept can be carefully tailored and updated according to customer variables including batch size, timescale, traceability, sterilisation method, product size, materials, shipping and budget.
It also provides improved packing methods specially tailored to a customer’s budget - which can result in a more advanced pack which looks better and costs less.
