Intellectual Property Specialists, HGF have just held their fifth IP in Healthcare Conference at Alderley Park just outside Manchester and the Royal College of General Practitioners in London.
IP in Healthcare 2019 covered the latest IP issues in the pharmaceuticals, lifesciences and medical devices sectors. Sessions included counterfeit pharmaceuticals and medical devices, regulatory patent exclusivity, EP and US perspectives on patents for new medical uses, mobile health, a CRISPR update, artificial intelligence, European and Asian patent proceedings and a Brexit update.
The conference showcased HGF’s expertise in the healthcare industry, with speakers from the firm’s patents, trade marks and law teams. External speakers from US law firm Pepper Hamilton LLP also spoke at the conference to discuss the importance of integrating regulatory and patent exclusivity when approaching the U.S. pharmaceutical market.
The conference attracted over 180 delegates ranging from pharmaceutical and medical device companies, to research institutions and universities and including a number of Medilink members.
