The Office for Life Sciences (OLS) will work with Innovate UK to invest up to £1.5 million in innovation projects. These will help developers of innovative medical devices, diagnostics and regulated digital technology in evaluating their products in a real-world clinical setting.
To enter the competition, UK-based SMEs must be CE marked and operate for less than five years on the market. There are two options, in which companies can be funded:
- Planning and preparation for a study, for which total eligible project costs can be up to £100,000.
- A study to collect clinical performance and cost-effectiveness data, for which total project costs can be up to £500,000.
If you’re interested in the second option, our Commercialisation and Innovation team will be delighted to discuss your Clinical Evaluation Report (CER), gap analysis and value proposition to help you understand what clinical evidence you need for both regulatory purposes to support your adoption.
The competition opened on the 30th of September 2019 and closes on the 11th of December 2019 at midday 12pm.
