CNUK hosts summit on medical technology exchange

CNUK Medtech Solutions, Medilink member and UK and Chinese healthcare industry specialist, hosted an international summit on innovative medical technology exchange in Nanjing on the 26th of June 2019.

The summit took place during Nanjing Tech Week - a high-profile event supported by the Nanjing Municipal Government and attended by Chinese Prime Minister, Li Ke Qiang, and Singaporean Prime Minister, Le Hsien Loong. The event offers innovators the opportunity to exchange ground-breaking ideas and showcase cutting-edge technologies.

Guests invited to the summit included members of the Department for International Trade of the British Consul General in Shanghai and representatives from the Jiangsu (provincial), Nanjing (municipal) and Xuanwu (district) governments.

Medical innovators from the UK, such as ClearSky Medical Diagnostics, RD Biomed, Veraz, TranQuality and Aelius Biotech, successfully introduced and presented their advanced technologies to other representatives from the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. The event provided a unique opportunity to network with investment firms, local distributors and Chinese universities.

A lively discussion panel co-hosted by CNUK, Nanjing Healthcare Drinks, the UK Department of Trade and MyBiogate allowed delegates to exchange views on the ‘Challenges and Opportunities for AI and Healthcare in China’ with a cocktail reception.

Mark Atherton, Head of Business Development at CNUK Medtech Solutions, said: “This was an excellent opportunity for us to introduce our vision, growth strategy and latest developments in the medical technology industry, including the introduction of our new investment Fund, while giving UK innovators the platform to showcase their technology and services.”
