A major event exploring how businesses can make the most of innovation and procurement strategies in the NHS is to be held in Leeds.
The one-day event, ‘Have your say –new innovation and procurement strategies for the NHS’, on July 26, will focus on the Department of Health’s (DoH) major review of the current NHS innovation and procurement system.
Jointly organised by Medilink and Medipex and hosted by the Leeds office of international law firm Eversheds, the event will bring together delegates working in NHS procurement and medical technology businesses to discuss the proposed strategies.
Speakers will include Miles Ayling, Director of Innovation and Service Improvement at DoH, with delegates given an opportunity later in the day to feed back on the proposed changes. The event will also provide an industry perspective on the proposals, with insight from companies currently selling into the NHS.
Kevin Kiely, managing director of Medilink Yorkshire & Humber, said: “This event is an ideal opportunity for businesses from the healthcare and related life sciences sectors to gain a better understanding of the proposed new NHS procurement system.
“Most importantly, this event will allow businesses to ideally position themselves to make the most of opportunities that arise from this new framework.”
This event follows on from last month’s successful ‘Funding For Innovation’ event, where more than 75 delegates heard about current funding streams for innovation in the healthcare sector.
- The cost for this event is £75+VAT for Medilink Members and £95+VAT for non-Medilink members.
