A revolutionary online screening device is travelling to Latin America this month to help South American patient’s keep in tune with their health using the iPulso heart monitoring device.
iPulso is a non-invasive cardio clip device that monitors the blood flow in the arteries to identify fitness levels and abnormalities; allowing users to discover in real time whether their lifestyle, diet and exercise routines need to change.
The monitor is attached to a patient’s finger and connected to a computer by a usb. The technology then measures the speed of the blood travelling through the larger arteries for 90 seconds, calculating the Arterial Stiffness Index, before comparing the reading to an online database; calculating a BioVascular age and determining the user’s health levels.
The device offers the possibility for mass screening of populations at an incredibly low cost, and with medically accepted accuracy and correlation.
The company behind iPulso - Advanced Global Health - is travelling to Hospitalar next month to launch their revolutionary technology to the largest healthcare exhibition in Latin America.
David Fisher, Managing Director of Advanced Global Health, said: “Health and fitness is integral to the lifestyle of a large majority of Latin and South Americans, and we are hoping Hospitalar will act as a platform for us to launch iPulso to the population; allowing them to discover the benefits that patients around the world are already experiencing.”
Hospitalar is taking place between the 25-28th May 2010 at the Expo Center Norte in Sao Paulo and Advanced Global Health will be located in the green hall on aisle J1 79
