The Medilink Yorkshire & Humber Advanced Woundcare Community is holding its first community-driven networking event on 1st October 2010. The event will give members the opportunity to hear the perspectives of two leading woundcare figures on the value of networks and communities – Bill Pigg (Systagenix) and Dr Karen Ousey (Principle Lecturer, Divisional Head Acute and Critical Care, University of Huddersfield).
Open networking and round table discussions will also enable members to meet clinicians, academics and business representatives from within the woundcare community.
The event aims to provide members with the opportunity to openly discuss some of the hot topics from within the sector such as the impact of new technologies in the treatment of wounds, the increase of patient involvement in their own care, and the opportunities available to members through the community in product development and future joint ventures and collaborations.
