Workshop 1: ALIP business & economic modelling and social and behavioural studies
The Technology Strategy Board (TSB), Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) have allocated £10M to invest in research projects looking into the Economic and Business Models and Social and Behavioural challenges facing the Assisted Living sector.
The call aims to bring together consortia of academics, industry, policy makers, health and social care professionals, third sector and service-users to carry out research with a high potential for impact in the areas of economic and business models, and social and behavioural studies of emerging assisted living technologies and services

Workshop 2: Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) ICT-based Solutions for Advancement of Older Persons’ Independence and Participation in the “Self-Serve Society”
The call looks at the emergence of a “self serve” society in Europe with many assisted living services being delivered over digital platforms, for example mobile phones. This call will fund proposals for innovative ICT-solutions that enable older people to preserve and enhance independence and dignity in all aspects of daily life, take active part in the self-serve society and stimulate and support the capacities required for such participation (e.g. mobility, physical, and cognitive)
