Under new government plans, hospitals will face financial penalties if patients are readmitted within 30 days of being discharged. Health Secretary Andrew Lansley said “this promises to be a much better system”, but what implication will this proposal have on the Acute Trusts, PCTs and patients themselves and how can industry work with the NHS to develop community based products and services that help to reduce the number of hospital readmissions?
On 10th November we will aim to answer these questions at a full day conference with expert speakers and delegates from industry and the NHS.
