Background
EPSRC intends to issue a second Healthcare Partnerships’ call, this time for full proposals only, in June 2010.

The primary purpose of this Town Meeting is to share information about the forthcoming Healthcare Partnerships’ call and to provide an opportunity for members of the academic community, SME sector and small charities to network.  Before completing an Expression of Interest form it may be helpful to refer to the EPSRC website for details of the Healthcare Partnerships funded under the first Healthcare Partnership call available on the Panel Rank Ordered List: Healthcare Partnerships page on GoW.

Expression of Interest form
As places are limited, EPSRC will aim to invite a balance of participants (academics and representatives from SMEs and small charities) across a breadth of institutions and geographical area. The places will be allocated as close to first come, first serve as possible, allowing for a balance of academics and representatives from SMEs and small charities.

Please note that EPSRC will not reimburse travel and subsistence costs associated with attending this event.

The EPSRC has decided to issue the second call for Healthcare Partnerships without an initial call for Expressions of Interest. We are aware therefore, that there will be less time to form new partnerships between academics and/or SMEs and small charities before the call is announced later this month. We wish to highlight this at an early stage, as it may have some bearing on your decision to apply against the next call.

You may find it useful to refer to the previous call document - Healthcare Partnerships Call 0910 and draw your attention to the assessment criteria in paragraph 7 which will remain unchanged.
