Healthcare is one of India's largest sectors, in terms of revenue and employment; the sector is expanding rapidly.

The total value of the sector is more then $34 billion which equates to roughly 6% of GDP. Throughout 2012, healthcare spend in the countyr is expected to rise beyond $40 billion, 80% of this accounted for by the private sector.

UKTI will be running seminars for UK companies to learn more about the healthcare opportunities within the region.

One of these sessions will be taking place at the annual congress of the Indian Society of Critical Care, held in Kolkata between the 1st and 3rd March 2013.
