The Department for Health is carrying out a major review of both Innovation and Procurement in the NHS.  This event will bring together policy makers working on both these reviews with medical technology SMEs and other representatives from the NHS procurement system.  It is hoped that this will show that the aims and objectives of both in terms of innovation adoption can be aligned.

This one day event will give participants the chance to hear about the changes proposed to the Innovation landscape making it easier for SMEs to engage with the NHS. It will detail how the procurement system is proposed to change and what NHS Trusts want from a new procurement strategy and what role procurement “intermediaries” such as NHS Supply Chain and procurement hubs see themselves as having in a “new” system. 

Essentially, there will be an opportunity for participants to feed back on the proposed changes to DH with a number of key messages from the event being collected from facilitated discussions.
