Description

The Technology Strategy Board's Briefing Events are aimed at giving interested applicants the opportunity to achieve a deeper understanding of the scope of the competition and the underlying processes. Technology Strategy Board competition team members will be on hand to answer any questions you may have as well as discuss any aspects of your potential projects.

Welcome and introduction to the Technology Strategy Board

Competition Process - By understanding the competition process you’ll be sure that your application meets the competition scope and is delivered on time to the right place for our assessors to be able to review your proposal. This session covers the following:-
• Application criteria – the expression of interest, full application, how to apply, common pitfalls and what to look out for to ensure compliance with the competition scope.
• Finance & eligible costs and project finance – what you can and cannot use as a cost against your project.
• Academic funding submission - Je-S: an overview and who it applies to.
• Timelines – what needs to be done when.

The Way Forward - How to submit your proposal and what happens after submission. This session will cover the following aspects:-
• The online application process, including the uploading and downloading of project files.
• Offer Letter – an overview of the contents, legal implications and at what point you will receive one.
• Collaboration Agreement – an overview of the agreement between partners.
• Deadlines – the critical dates for your application.
• Competition Helpdesk – what it is and what it is there for.

Networking for Collaboration - Informal networking group sessions
