Safety is currently an important issue in Healthcare, and is high on the policy agenda. Working with world renowned experts in Safety Management systems at the University of York this conference brings together the latest thinking and research in safety management systems with a practical focus.
The conference will be a combination of short think sessions (from leading researchers) combined with practical workshops. Our intention is to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Key note speaker
Prof. John McDermid OBE, University of York: Prof. McDermid is a leading expert in Safety Management Systems having more than 15 years of experience in the field. He is a founder member of the United Kingdom Computing Research Committee and a member of the Defence Scientific Advisory Council advising the MoD on research and technology, he is also a member of the Rolls-Royce Electrical and Controls Advisory Board.
