The Healthcare Technologies and Medicine Knowledge Transfer Network (HTMKTN) is a government funded organisation; dedicated to accelerating innovation and technology exploitation in the broad health industries sector.

Providing unique offerings to its members, from one-on-one consultations on specific needs, to the national and international development of technology strategy that influences future finance; HTMKTN aims to future proof businesses.

Their vision is to be recognised as a world class initiator, translator and disseminator of research and knowledge that contributes to excellence in UK science and leads to rapid exploitation for UK economic and clinical benefit.

Members are offered: 

•  Knowledge of the UK innovation landscape, signposting and personal introductions 
•  Exposure to industry, government, partners and the market
• Special Interest Groups exchanging knowledge in key areas of clinical discipline
• Finding partners for new collaborations
• Finding funding sources from public and private sources, UK and European
• Technology audits/Support for commercialisation and spinouts
• Market and project information – dissemination of your capabilities/needs
• Sharing of best practice – nationally and globally
• Portal (for information, collaboration space and conference facilities)

HTMKTN also have new activities which support links between all parts of the community:

• Technology translation between the UK’s Innovative Manufacturing Research Centres and the clinical and industrial base
• Active Special Interest Groups in Health Technology-related areas.
