Profile
Mark is currently Vice President of Research and Technology at Smith and Nephew Wound Management in Hull. Marks team is responsible for identifying new business opportunities for the Wound Mgt Division. Mark has over 25 years experience in the Medical Device Sector within S&N and has deep experience of bringing Innovative products to Global Markets. He has a PhD in Biochemistry and an MBA. Within S&N he has ran the Global Innovation Team for 3 years and In 2000 S&N won the UK Innovator of the Year award. Before that he ran the R&D group for 10 years.
He is a member of the Yorkshire Innovation Council, Chair of the Hull and Humber Healthcare Technologies Group (a cross Business, NHS, University and Public Sector Group aiming to stimulate growth in this Sector in the Sub Region) and is on UK HealthTech and Medicines KTN Steering Board.
Hobbies are running, walking and music. He is married and lives in York.
